Day one arrives in Fethiye via Dalaman, then Oludeniz for a 30-minute paraglider flight and afternoon snorkelling. A full-day boat dive covers Butterfly Valley and St Nicholas island, before the drive…
Fly from Istanbul to Dalaman in 75 minutes and collect bags at the small terminal. Domestic connections at IST need at least 90 minutes, so avoid a tight change.
Take a shared shuttle along the coast road into Fethiye and check into a hotel near the marina. The ride takes about an hour and drops at the otogar, a short walk from the waterfront.
Meet the dive team, show your certification, sign the medical form and try on a wetsuit and BCD. Bring your logbook if you have one, as some sites require a minimum number of logged dives.

No. Several Kas operators run introductory experience dives for uncertified divers with an instructor, usually after a short briefing in shallow water. For the boat dives at Kekova and the wreck sites, an Open Water certification gives more freedom and access. This itinerary recommends getting certified before you arrive for the full site list.
May-June and September-October offer around 20-27 C with visibility often reaching 30 m. July and August are warmest but busiest, and winter drops to around 16-18 C with rougher surface conditions. A 5 mm wetsuit suits summer, while a 7 mm or hooded suit is better in spring and late autumn.
The sunken city of Kekova is a protected archaeological zone, and swimming and diving directly over the ruins are restricted. Licensed operators run boat trips where you view the submerged walls from the surface, and nearby sites are used for actual dives. Check what your operator is permitted to do rather than assuming a dive on the ruins.
Dalaman airport is about an hour by road from Fethiye and roughly two and a half hours from Kas. Shared shuttles, private transfers and buses all run, with buses cheapest but slower. The D400 coast road is scenic but winding, so avoid arriving after dark if you drive yourself. Pre-book transfers in peak season.
