Stroll the boardwalk around the Dubai Fountain as the shows begin after sunset, roughly every 30 minutes. The Burj Lake loop takes 30 minutes at an easy pace; stay behind the barriers once the jets start firing.

Is the Dubai Metro or a taxi better for getting around the city?+

How far ahead should I book Burj Khalifa and Museum of the Future tickets?+
Both use timed entry, and weekend sunset slots sell out first. Reserve Burj Khalifa at least a week ahead in the November-March season, and the Museum of the Future earlier still, since its slots release in advance and popular hours disappear. Check the official sites for current release windows.
When is the best season for a five-day Dubai city break?+
November to March gives 18-28 C, low humidity and comfortable walking for Al Fahidi, the souks and the abra crossing. April and October are workable and cheaper. Summer months push 40 C or more, so outdoor sightseeing turns into an early-morning exercise.
