Arrive in London, take the Paddington train into the Cotswolds for Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water, then the overnight or daytime train to Penzance for St Ives and the Eden Project, returning via Lond…
The Piccadilly line runs direct to Green Park, then the Jubilee line reaches Waterloo in two stops. The whole trip takes about an hour, and step-free exits are marked on the platform signs.
Follow the riverside path past the Eye and the National Theatre to Shakespeare's Globe. The route is flat and free, and the Globe sells yard tickets on the day for standing places.
The lanes behind the market have pubs and small restaurants that are quieter than the riverside strip. Weekday evenings need no booking, while Friday and Saturday fill early.

A car makes both regions far easier. Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water have limited bus service, and St Ives and the Eden Project are awkward without one. Trains reach Moreton-in-Marsh, Penzance and St Erth, with local buses and the St Ives branch line filling gaps, but expect slow connections and Sunday reductions.
May to September brings gardens in bloom, longer days and the best chance of dry weather on the Cornish coast. July and August are busiest in St Ives and Bourton-on-the-Water, so book accommodation early. May and September offer similar conditions with quieter lanes and easier parking.
Great Western services from London Paddington take around five hours to Penzance, with the Night Riviera sleeper covering the same route overnight. From Penzance, the branch line reaches St Ives in about 20 minutes. Book Advance tickets early and sit on the right for coastal views into Cornwall.
Expect roughly $1,350–1,940 (about €1,170–1,690) per person excluding international flights. That covers village guesthouses, Cornish hotels, rail tickets, a few days of rental car and Eden Project entry. Cornwall in July and August pushes prices up, so shoulder-season dates stretch the budget further.
