Arrive and open at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui. Day two is Causeway Bay's Times Square, Hysan Place and SOGO. Day three pairs Mong Kok's Langham Place and Sneaker Street with Temple Street at dusk.…
Ride the Airport Express for 21 minutes, then walk or take a short taxi to your Tsim Sha Tsui hotel. Keep the ticket for the return trip; a same-day return costs less than two separate singles.
Harbour City stretches along Canton Road in linked blocks; start at Ocean Terminal for the harbour-side shops and work inland. Ask the concierge for a mall map and note that most stores close at 22:00.
Book a table at a Canton Road restaurant or eat on the Harbour City food floors, then walk to the promenade for the 20:00 light show. Weekday evenings rarely need a reservation; Friday does.

Winter markdowns usually build through December and peak around late December into January, with the deepest cuts after Christmas. December has better weather and festival lights but heavier crowds; January is quieter and still discounted. June to July brings a second round of mid-year promotions across Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui malls.
It depends on your passport. Hong Kong sets its own entry rules apart from mainland China, and many Western passports, including UK and EU ones, get 90 days visa-free. Shoppers from some countries need a visa arranged before travel. Check the Hong Kong Immigration Department's visa-free list for your nationality, and have your onward ticket ready.
Hong Kong has no sales tax or VAT, so shelf prices are what you pay, which is why electronics and cosmetics often look cheaper than in Europe. Your home country's duty-free allowance still applies when you return, and receipts help at customs. Check your own customs agency's limits for clothing, alcohol and electronics before you overspend.
Citygate sits beside Tung Chung station, about 10 minutes from the airport. The S1 bus from the terminus outside the mall runs to the passenger terminals, and taxis from the rank are easiest with several bags. Allow extra time to check in oversized purchases, and ask shops about delivery to the airport for bulky items.
